We are building applications that span different industries and technologies. Over the past 10 years, we have built applications and solutions for many different companies and in many different environments. With diverse experience in multiple industries, we are able to use our expertise to solve your business problem or turn your new business idea into reality. From PDA (personal digital assistants) applications to mid-frame workhorses, we have the technical know-how needed to provide solutions.

Image Rendering System

A highly complex and graphic intensive application that converts vector-based image sources into photo quality bitmap-based drawings.  The system is utilized in several industries that need photo quality renderings of their vector drawn objects.  The system is built around a worker/consumer batching architecture and is highly distributed in nature.  A central control system provides current worker status and errors.  A cental reviewing system provides end result viewing.  Technologies involved in this project include: Microsoft .NET/C#, Silverlight, MCF, Shape files, GPS, other location-based information, and SOA principles.

Mobile Address Book

A multi-sourced mobile address book for a very large top-tier mobile phone service provider.  The address book provids customers a web-based view into their mobile phone address content and allows syncing between on-line information and mobile information.  The system communicates with several Network systems and provider back-office systems to provide a contact mash-up to the customer.  Implemented as a distributed multi-tier architecture, the system provides both a business layer abstraction and a web experience.  Technologies involved in this project include: IBM WebSphere, Java, Spring, Struts, vCard, XML, SOAP, REST, and SOA principles.

VOIP Testing Toolbox

A voice-over-IP testing tool created for PBX Outfitters and targeted toward the emerging VOIP PBX market. The application transmits and reads SIP messages and measures start/stop/average times for message transmission. A newer version of the application will also use Codecs to perform voice quality testing.

Firewall Management System

Remodel and user interface face lift of a Firewall Management System for Sereniti. The system manages consumer and small office networks and devices from a central location allowing consumer control of household devices.

VPN Provisioning System

A complex provisioning system for a very large top-tier managed service provider. The VPN service manager created and managed IPSEC/GRE VPNs on Cisco routers and switches. Using topology and device groupings, the system defined and partitioned business transactions (orders) to be submitted by engineers to build and change VPNs. The system allowed engineers to setup standard templates and “product sets” to normalize and make consistent device configurations. The orders where processed through the system using a workflow framework and delivered directly to the device using a device management system. The system was built using OSS/J concepts and included interfaces for orders and inventory. The system architecture is a three-tiered, distributed system using a web browser as the interface, JBoss as the application server, and Postgres as the database server.

FSBO

A "for sale by owner" listing application in support of consumers selling their own homes. The web application supported e-commerce activities associated with signing up customers and managing the property listings.

My Auto My Way

A "closed bid" auction web application supporting a consumers desire to find and purchase a vehicle in a low-pressure sales environment. For a minimal fee, the consumer puts in a request for a certain type and/or model of vehicle. The request is distributed (without consumer contact information) to multiple dealerships. The dealership will then, in turn, respond with pricing information. When the consumer is comfortable with the dealer, the consumer can then authorize the exchange of contact information.

Router Configuration Portal

An application written for a large managed service provider that allows end-user customers to view router configurations, statistics, and work orders. The system integrates with the service provider’s current user authentication and web infrastructure on the front-end and retrieves data from a third-party element management system and other operational support systems on the backend. The system itself is stateless and acts as a broker of information between systems. The result is a powerful and unique view of a customer’s network devices and current activities being applied to those devices.

SmartFarm

The SmartFarm™ application is sold and distributed by Farm Logic Solutions, LLC to thousands of users in the Agriculture community.

The SmartFarm application provides market and financial forecasting for farmers. Using a unique and intuitive interface. Mersoft delivered the right application, at the right time, at the right price to allow Farm Logic Solutions to explode into the Farm software market.

"Partnering with Mersoft has allowed Farm Logic Solutions to take an idea and bring it to market quickly and inexpensively ," says Jeff Helgen, Managing Director of Farm Logic Solutions, " without the leadership and technological expertise from the team at Mersoft, our company's flagship product would still be just an idea."

Written for the Microsoft Windows platform, SmartFarm was in development for over a year from start of design to the first 1.0 release. The process followed a well known application development methodology that started with a high-level design, the creation of a prototype, a more detailed design and requirements scope, followed by the main development cycle, and finally through a rigorous testing cycle.

Extranet Services Portal

Mersoft is helping Sprint deliver a new extranet services portal for large Sprint business customers. With delivery in June of 2003, the new functionality will improve Sprint customer satisfaction by reducing the number of logins required to reach important service tools and applications. The portion of the project outsourced to Mersoft is fixed-bid. Mersoft is responsible for managing the development and delivery of its pieces of the project and works extensively with resources inside of Sprint to deliver the solution. Mersoft has delivered its solution within original budget and has met all project plan deliverables and milestones.

ATM Reporting System

When Sprint went shopping for a vendor to provide an innovative product solution, they went with Mersoft's netWorkBench. As a hosted solution, Mersoft is able to provide a full outsourced solution at a competitive price. The features of netWorkBench, combined with excellent customer support, has Sprint leading the way in providing quality reporting to its ATM customers.

The system helps clients manage and control the performance of their service. The system is a 3-tiered architecture using a web-browser as the front end, Java application servers for the backend, and SQL compliant servers for data storage. The system is comprised of 8 individual applications and servers that manage the data and processing on a day-to-day basis. The data is collected from a back office system using SOAP/Web Services interface.

Golf GPS Prototype

Golf GPS prototype is a prototype developed for GLS that provides global positioning of a golfer while on the golf course. This real-time system helps golfers lower their scores by displaying distance-based information. Complete outsourcing project. Requirements definition, story boarding, software design, software development, data modeling, and testing. The application is a COTS (commercial off-the-shelf) implementation aimed at the mainstream computer user for the PDA/Microsoft CE environment.

NAPI Prototype

The NAPI prototype was developed for a large telecommunications company to prove out a data delivery system using a web-service architecture. The entire project was ~10,000 hrs with our share of the work equal to about 1,800 hrs. The project was a partial outsource. The backend data delivery servers where developed by the client. We developed the client front-end and the associated servers needed to communicate with the back end data delivery servers.

TDS

The TDS system was developed for a large telecom company to automate the handling of trouble tickets and to perform advanced diagnostics and triage. The project was developed at the client site in association with client resources. We were responsible for the overall design and management of the entire project and also had responsibility for delivering specific software modules.

RISH

RISH was developed for a large telecom company to provide DSL-based data services to the residential market place. RISH is a device that is installed at the home. The scope of the project was very large for the client and we were directly responsible for only about 26,000 hours. We worked with the device vendor and the client resources to produce key components of the system. We were directly responsible for the design, development, and testing of the SNMP sub-system inside the device. We were also directly responsible for the design, development, and testing of the SNMP manager that controlled the device.
